Some
recent Max 6 books of note: 3DS Max 6 Animation by Barrett
Fox, 3DS Max 6 Killer Tips by Jon Bell,
Model, Rig Animate with 3DS Max 6 by Michele Bousquet and 3DS Max 6 Animation
and Visual Effects
by Sanford Kennedy.
Barrett
Fox's book is unique in my experience because it is a complete
primer on how to make a CG film,
start to finish. Yet the film is also about a video game, as well as a set-up
for it; the synergy between the
cinematic and the game design is extendted into the book, and an excellent
Flash-based site, www.barrettfox.com.
Jon Bell;s book is a collection of tips by Jon and others. Nothing more than
one or two pages, a quick, easy
read. Most important, very practical. Even the experienced user will probably
find at least a third of this
book a surprise.
